Challenges in Research Ethics

Challenges in research ethics

Even though the principles of research ethics are followed, there may still be other challenges when conducting research.

The first challenge is the conflict of interests, as researchers might potentially harm participants’ physical or psychological well-being in the pursuit of finding solutions. Additionally, if participants engage in research with informed consent, it could lead to inaccurate research results. The second challenge involves issues of plagiarism. It is essential to ensure the originality of content, correctly cite others’ work, and even when using AI-generated software for writing, questions of originality can arise.
