Looking at companies in the fashion industry that support charitable causes.
Too often the fashion industry receives negative publicity due to the overconsumption of fast fashion and “throwaway” items in virtually every category.

The following companies create headlines and are celebrated for making a difference with the quality items they sell and the charitable causes they help support.

Parks Project

This graphic T-shirt company pays homage to our national parks with their T-shirts. They are also an official business partner of the national parks system with the goal of inspiring others to protect our public lands. They not only contribute money but also volunteer towards youth education programs, habitat restoration, and wildlife conservation.

Tentree

As the name implies, this casual clothing company makes all of its clothing out of sustainable materials and donates funds from every item sold to plant 10 trees in deforested areas around the globe. Its mission is to “be the most progressive brand on the planet.”

Billy Reid

This “lived-in luxury” brand is currently working with Children in Conflict, which is a nonprofit that provides aid to children living in areas affected by war. Billy Reid designs limited edition clothing items and hosts events combining music, fine dining, and entertainment to raise funds for various causes.

Bombas

Billing their product as “the world’s most comfortable pair of socks,” Bombas is one of the first “buy one, give one” models. To date, they have given over 10 million pairs of socks to the homeless through their work with Giving Partners.

The effort of these socially conscious brands to better serve our communities and make significant impacts on the lives of so many.
