Tools to Support You

There are a wide range of tools available to help you produce quality content for your social media marketing. Here we focus on one in particular – Canva – and provide a list of others you can look as well.

Canva

Canva is a design platform used to quickly create graphics, posters and many other documents that assist business owners with their social media content. The platform is free to use however it also offers a paid subscription called Canva Pro which includes access to millions of extra stock photos, videos, audio files and graphics. Web Platform

The web platform – accessed from a computer – provides more screen space for your design and features … When it asks What will you design? Click on Social Media, then choose your required platform. Search for a template to work with by typing keywords into the search bar. When using a free account, be aware of the crown icon in the bottom right corner of some template thumbnails which denotes Pro-only templates. Click and drag a template onto the page to access the editing tools then customise it for yourself.

Mobile App

The mobile app is available for Android and Apple platform. Similar to the web platform, when it asks What will you design? Click on Social Media, then choose your required platform. Click in the search bar and enter a keyword. When using a free account, be aware of the FREE symbol in the bottom right corner of template thumbnails denoting which templates are free to use. Click on a template to access the editing tools, then customise it for yourself.
