Your vision of a better future 4: Bringing it all together

From imagining the top things that would make a post-climate-crisis world exciting and desirable, to envisioning realistic changes in transport, food, energy and beyond, you’ve built a foundation for imagining transformative possibilities. Now, it’s time to bring it all together. 

What could your city, town or country look like 10 years from now if everyone did everything they could to create a flourishing, low-carbon, socially just society? 

Create your final vision, drawing on the visions you’ve created throughout the course:  

• Week 1: what would make a post-climate-crisis future desirable?  
• Week 2: physical changes in our cities and communities. 
• Week 3: society’s goals, logics, narratives, and structures. 
• Week 4: ‘what if’ questions about broader possibilities and cultural changes. 

Write a text that portrays key elements of your vision – or if you feel extra creative, you could also express your vision through a drawing, a poem, an AI-generated image or any other artistic form. Try to make your vision vivid and specific, so that others can immerse themselves in it. 

Share your vision 

Once your vision is complete, share it with other learners as follows:

• If you have created an image to represent your vision, share it on the Padlet.
• If you have created your vision in writing, share it in the Comments section below.
