PAC dimension 1: which changes, which actions?

Reflect on the actions you've encountered and select those you feel are most urgent, meaningful or exciting and share these with other learners.

Throughout this course, you’ve explored a wide range of changes that are needed.

You’ve investigated actions you can take individually and collectively to tackle the climate crisis and improve our lives and societies. You’ve developed your own vision of a better future and how it might come about, and you’ve considered the roles you might play in this transition.

Now it’s time to select and focus on the changes and action that you’re most passionate about, what seems particularly meaningful or impactful in your context, or what you feel most inspired to act on.

This will form the foundation of your Personal Action Compass and will play a key role in figuring out how you want to contribute to tackling the climate crisis and creating a better future.

Changes and actions

Consider the measures, actions and roles you’ve encountered throughout this course and especially the ones that have featured in your roadmap and story of change (steps 4.6 and 4.7). Which ones resonate most with you?

What makes the most sense in your context?

Thinking about these changes and actions, consider which of them feel most urgent to you using the following questions:

  • What feasible changes would make the biggest difference, and what feels the most exciting or the most pressing?
  • What aligns with the challenges and opportunities you are particularly passionate about?

Can you think of any options that are both impactful and easy to implement?

Select a few key changes or actions, based on what you’re most drawn to overall or most inspired to pursue.

Add to your Personal Action Compass

As you find important actions or changes relevant to your context, add them to the first dimension of your PAC ‘What’s most important to you in your context?’. Try to add enough detail to capture the essence of what you’d like to do or see happen in this area. Note which ones inspire or excite you the most and consider why they resonate with you.

Share your thoughts

In the Comments section, share and discuss with other learners the changes and actions you’ve selected. Describe why these changes and actions resonate with you or why you believe they are more urgent in your context.
