In the previous step we learned about integration between SharePoint and Dynamics 365 when both are in the online environment.

However, in this step, we will explore some of the needs to consider when attempting to integrate Dynamics 365 with an on-premises SharePoint instantiation.

Dynamics 365 can connect to SharePoint that is hosted in another location other than Office 365, such as on-premises location.

One thing to consider is authentication as part of this model. When using server-based authentication, Azure AD Domain Services is used as the trust broker and users do not need to sign in to SharePoint.

Apart from this, the experience will be the same as working with SharePoint located in Office 365.
