On the opportunity side, data helps us make informed decisions, like optimising bus routes or adjusting traffic signals based on real-time conditions, leading to more efficient transport networks, while on the challenge side, managing large amounts of data requires advanced hardware and software, which can be expensive and complex to implement.
Through examples from a few emerging cities, we’ll examine these data gaps and the challenges they create in navigating urban spaces and designing efficient transport solutions.
