Transforming Streets using Tactical Urbanism (walking)

In this unit, learn about the detailed workflow of the Safe School Zone Project in Baguio, the Philippines. The project aimed to develop measures of improving overall safety, accessibility and active mobility in the city by employing tactical urbanism as a tool.

The idea was to inspire other cities in the country to adopt new street design practices, policies and standards. Adopting the Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning (SUMP) guidelines, the project was data-driven in its approach and was implemented in 5 phases encompassing 18 steps.
