G-S and old-to-new information flow

A brief lecture introduces how to maintain flow in writing and the role of G-S pattern in maintaining flow.

G-S and old-to-new information flow

  • General statements, shard ideas, a well-known concept
  • Technical description
  • Specific terms, research objectives

Introduce the new, based on the old

  • Lithium-ion batteries are composed of cathode, anode, and separator soaked in the electrolyte.
  • TESLA is a modern electric vehicle. This new form of transportation requires high-power and high-energy electrical storage systems, such as lithium-ion batteries (LIBs).
  • The working principle of lithium-ion batteries is a charge/discharge process, which is an oxidation-reduction chemical reaction. This reaction can be operated through the insertion/desertion of lithium ions from the electrode materials.
  • The separators, are non-conductive porous materials in batteries. The non-conductivity prevents the physical contact between electrodes, yet the porous structure allows the ionic flow freely, causing the electrochemical reaction.
  • The electrolytes resemble batteries’ blood, transporting the required ions between electrodes during the charge/discharge process. The charge/discharge process is a chemical reaction that can release electrons to provide electricity by oxidation and reduction.
