Meet Milly, a long term patient who lives with dementia

Milly has been attending TUH for over 10 years as a patient living with dementia.

Milly Beamish has been attending TUH for over 10 years as a patient living with dementia. She was delighted to spend time with us to talk about her experiences in the hospital and we asked her a few questions about what she likes about coming to the hospital, how it can be improved and how easy it is for her to navigate.

Can you think about someone you know like Milly, or someone you have encountered in a healthcare or other setting. How do you think they might experience the built environment of that setting? What are the design issues that might help of hinder them?
