Meet the Team

Dr Shohn Wormgoor

Alt text Dr Shohn Wormgoor is Clinical Exercise Physiologist who has a PhD related to Exercise and people living with type 2 diabetes. He has also worked in a clinic that specialised in providing exercise interventions to people of all New Zealand cultures diagnosed with chronic health conditions. While conducting his research and working with his clients that he further developed an understanding of diabetes and, most importantly, different ways of sharing his knowledge in easy-to-understand ways. This helped people from various backgrounds and knowledge to better understand conditions manage their health.

Nicola Goss

Alt text Nicola Goss is a lecturer in Diabetes, Health and Wellness. She a bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and has a passion for health, education and helping people. Obesity runs in both sides of her family, and as a result, she had a challenging childhood and adolescence, growing up much bigger than my peers. As a result of being continuously told what not to eat, she developed an eating disorder by the age of 16 – the RED-S syndrome.
