LinkedIn Job search ‘app’

Here is an interesting app that can help you with your job search. LinkedIn Job Search allows you to browse vacancies in your region (or your desired region) and save them. It keeps track of the positions you have already applied for and you get notifications when the deadline for a job you’ve saved approaches. It is a useful app to organise your job search and it keeps your activity private so nobody can see your search history. Activity

1. To familiarise yourself with the app, make a list of three job titles/vacancies of your choice and perform your search for each of them in two different areas. Choosing an area is optional, but it narrows your search down to this specific place. Save the top five vacancies from each search and try to access them from your profile within the app. You will notice that under each position, there is a button Apply with profile. It provides a quick alternative to the usual job application process, but you need to make sure you have updated your LinkedIn profile first.
2. Search for three (or more) companies you are interested in. Follow them to get updates and notifications, browse the job vacancies they offer, and then save the ones you like. You will end up with a short list of saved jobs in your profile, which will give you a start in your LinkedIn job search.
