Hello, welcome to the Digital Fashion Media course. My name is Lisa Mann. I’m the director of postgraduate professional and online programmes here at Condé Nast College. I’ve designed the structure of all our FutureLearn courses and worked with some amazing academic and industry experts to develop unique learning content. So whether you’re a student, an entrepreneur or someone who aspires to work in the fashion industry, this course will help to expand your knowledge and provide you with insights into the latest industry developments. To give you a better understanding of what you’ll learn throughout the duration of this course, I wanted to highlight some of the key points that we will focus on. You’ll be introduced to the digital marketing sphere with a specific focus on branding strategies and the evolution of content creation for fashion brands. You’ll be given an overview of digital storytelling while examining the importance of social media strategy and the role of influencers for fashion brands.

You’ll study the future of fashion and digital media with exclusive content and insights from industry experts such as Ellisha-Jade White, digital marketing expert and Hannah Springett, an interactive storyteller and creative director. You’ll also develop an understanding of digital marketing and branding strategy, content creation for fashion brands, social media strategy whilst developing your own ideas and producing creative pieces of work in response to course content. And for your final task, you’ll produce your own social media campaign, putting into practise everything you’ve learnt. We will aim to provide you with an introductory understanding of the digital media methods and strategies utilised by fashion brands, you’ll develop your knowledge of storytelling through digital media and explore how digital campaigns are created.

Ellisha-Jade White: a social media manager for small and medium size businesses for over 4 years, working with brands to improve their social media presence and direct to consumer communication strategies. Ellisha-Jade is also a specialist in blogging, and has helped businesses to develop blog writing and storytelling plans, paid and organic ads, content creation and blogger integration.

Hannah Springett: a trained graphic designer turned web design consultant that started her own company in January 2020.

To get the most out of this course, we strongly recommend engaging, as much as you feel comfortable doing so, in the discussion forums and making full use of the comment sections found attached to each step.
