Applying for a degree apprenticeship is different from the way you apply for other undergraduate degree programmes.

Some people apply for apprenticeship programmes through their existing employer, as an opportunity to progress within their chosen career. It is also possible to apply for an apprenticeship with an employer through the Find an Apprenticeship website. Set the search to degree level apprenticeships to find out what opportunities are available.

All higher and degree apprenticeship programmes are aligned to an apprenticeship standard. Each apprenticeship standard sets out the knowledge, skills and behaviours that will be achieved by the end of the apprenticeship, and also sets out any entry requirements for the programme.

Entry requirements differ for different apprenticeship programmes, but often provide more flexible entry routes to higher education. If you are interested in a specific apprenticeship programme, check with the university or college what entry requirements you will need to have. This will include whether you need English and maths at level 2. You will also need to meet the other eligibility criteria for studying on an apprenticeship programme.
