Focus on T Levels

T Levels are technical qualifications at level 3, and can be used to apply for a wide range of Higher Education courses.

In this video, Professor Charlie Jeffery, the Vice Chancellor at the University of York, explains the reasons why we are encouraging students with T Levels to apply.

T Levels are technical qualifications at level 3, and can be used to apply for a wide range of Higher Education courses. T Levels combine vocational, placement based learning with theoretical components. It is possible to progress to Higher Education courses that are directly related to the T Level being studied, but this isn’t the only option. At many universities, students studying T Levels can use the qualification to progress to a wider range of subjects and courses.

It is important to do your research, to find out what subjects you can apply for based on the T Level qualification you are studying for. Have a look at university websites to see what information they have available.

At the University of York, for example, we have mapped T Levels, so that you can see which courses you can apply for. Select the relevant T-level from the list, and you will see the wide range of possible courses you could apply for.
