Download the presentation below about sound-letter relationship (orthographic awareness) training.

Try to infer the rules regarding the spelling of the /tʃ/ sound with the letters ‘ch’ and ‘tch’.

Look at the first word list and see if you can analyse them. Can you see any common parts in them? These are highlighted in the next page of the presentation. Try to think of the spelling rule before you go to the next page.

Repeat the procedure with three lists of words in which the /tʃ/ sound is spelled with the letters ‘ch’ and ‘tch’.
