Next steps

This step outlines the next stage of the course on nursing care for COVID-19, detailing how learners can contribute in the following weeks.

Over the last two weeks we have traced the footsteps of Florence Nightingale. We have identified the importance of data and following trends and evidence.

We have heard from experts and nurses in the field and reflected on their experiences. We have also identified that robust health systems are dependent on a range of factors including a competent, confident and credentialed nursing workforce.

As your work on the frontline of healthcare continues, and likely intensifies, we will continue to explore the role of nurses as leaders. The next part of the course will see us engaging with nurses providing palliative care and exploring further with those working in humanitarian and community settings.

We hope you will join us, and look forward to sharing more of your experience when we return.

In the meantime, we hope you stay safe and continue to care for yourselves as you care for others.
