Before setting out for our 3rd and final day in the field, Delia Laura Popescu, Researcher at the University of Bucharest, outlines the Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for climate change solutions.

Then Radu Dudău, Associate Professor at Bucharest University shares his thoughts on energy sufficiency and efficiency. He provides us with hands on tips for using less energy and using energy more efficiently. He then uses heat pumps as an example of energy efficiency.

We then meet with Juan Malo, Associate Professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He takes us through the village showing us examples of renewable energy solutions. He also points out associated risks for biodiversity.

We walk down to the Barnens bad (meaning “the childrens beach”). Here we continue our discussions about energy solutions with José Ramón Ares, Professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He reflects on the role of hydrogen for energy production and storage.
