We need to be able to keep score on all the different aspects of our business so that we can make good decisions.

Businesses combine mathematical methods and data to gain insights and visibility into their business activities. All of the summary statistics we’ve been learning, graphs and data analysis are used in business settings. Businesses combine these methods to gain insights into what their organisation is doing.

We’re going to have a look at calculations that help us to forecast the business’s success. These calculations are called metrics or key performance indicators. They’re key things that businesses need to keep track of.
