Before You Begin the Next Assignment

Before you begin the next assignment, you’ll need to select a flight booking website for evaluation throughout this course.

The flight booking website you choose should allow a user to:

• Book flights at different times of day

• Explore different trip options and destinations

• Allow filtering of flight search results based on various criteria, such as number of passengers, booking class, and number of stops

• There are several websites that will allow you to complete the exercises successfully. These include:

• flights.google.com

• flights.kayak.com

You are welcome to select any of these website options, or select one of your own, as we know different regions around the globe are familiar with different travel booking websites.

You will have a much more enjoyable and engaging experience in this course if you select a complex booking site. Choose a site where the user interface uses some non-standard elements that differ from the most popular travel booking sites, and so might present usability challenges for some users.

Note: Examples you see throughout the course will reference an old website, “hipmunk.com.” Hipmunk was a travel booking site that is no longer available, however, these examples will still work as guides through the evaluation of your modern travel booking website of choice.
