This article provides bullet points of the Transform Pattern tool.

In CLO 3D, we use the Transform Pattern tool to select patterns to move, transform and rotate. You can find it in your 2D toolbar.

The location of the Transform Pattern tool

Select
1. Left click on a pattern to select it or hold shift to select multiple patterns.
2. Click and drag your cursor in the 2D window to encompass all Patterns to be selected with a marquee box.
3. Press Control plus A to select all patterns.

Move
1. Left-click on a pattern and drag it into the 2D window.
2. Hold shift while moving to restrain movement in horizontal, vertical or dialogue lines.
3. Right-click while moving to get the moving distance window.

Right-click to enter the precise moved distance.

Transform
1. Click and drag the dot on the marquee box.
2. Double click on the centre dot to activate the pivot.

Rotation
1. Click on the rotation dot and move your cursor to rotate the selected pattern. 2. Hold shift to restrain rotation to 45 degrees.
3. Right-click on a pattern and go to rotation in the drop-down list to rotate the selected pattern in a certain direction.

Copy & Paste

Regular Copy & Paste
1. Right-click on patterns and go to copy>paste or mirror paste. 2. Press Control plus C and press Control plus V.

Symmetric Pattern
1. Right-click on patterns and go to Symmetric Pattern (with Sewing)/Symmetric Pattern. And this will duplicate a linked pattern of the selected pattern.

Symmetric Pattern

  1. If two patterns are linked, you can apply the same editing to them simultaneously.
