Create a calculated field
In the sample Superstore data, navigate to Sheet 1 and create a field to calculate the discount ratio, using the formula:
- IF([Sales] !=0, [Discount]/[Sales],0)
The formula checks whether sales equal zero. If they do (i.e. sales do not = 0), it returns the discount ratio (Discount/Sales). If false (i.e. sales = 0), it returns zero.
Which office supplies are heavily discounted?
Which region are they most heavily discounted in?
(Hint: You might need to add Regions, Categories, and Sub-Categories to the columns and rows.)
