A few positive words
Before we dive into the course, we would like to share a few words that will help you sound polite in Portuguese.
1. Thank you = obrigado / obrigada / agradeço
If you are a man, you will always say obrigado.
If you are a woman, you will always say obrigada.
Another less frequent option does not take gender into account and works for everybody: agradeço.
2. Sorry = desculpa / desculpe

3. Please = por favor Listen
4. Excuse me = com licença, e.g. used to politely ask somebody to move so that you can get past. Listen
