There is only one possible sound for ç. It sounds like ‘s’ in ‘simple’.

The little hook placed under letter c is called cedilha. Letter c itself is called cê. So letter c with the little hook is called cê-cedilha. However, it is enough to simply say cedilha to mean ç.

BrazilListen PortugalListen

The only possible letter combinations with ç are ça – ço – çu: Listen
