Present tenses: regular verbs ending in -ar


1. In the previous step, we learnt how to tell where one lives by using verb morar.

Morar = to live.

Morar is a regular verb that ends in ar. This is key information. It means we need to drop ar and conjugate morar with the following pattern. Follow the table with the audio.

BrazilEu – Tu – Você – Nós – Elas: Listen PortugalEu – Tu – Ele – Nós – Elas: Listen

morAR. Eu morO, Tu morAS, Você/Ele/Ela morA, Nós morAMOS, Vocês/Eles/Elas morAM
