We hope that you’re getting a feel for IoT and are looking forward to seeing how IoT works in business solutions. In Week 2, you’ll analyse practical examples but for now, let’s explore the scenarios.

In this step, we’re going to give you a taste of what an IoT solution looks like through interactive demos.

In this first demo, we’ll look at what’s called a solution accelerator. You’ll see how each industry vertical can choose the data that’s important to them, and how they can use data to improve performance.

The demo will take you through several different verticals that indicate how IoT can positively impact industries for the better. Whilst the demo will give you a great overview, more detail will be covered in later activities in this course.

Note: Businesses or industries are often referred to as verticals by industry experts to denote the depth of a solution, rather than its breadth.
