Lecturer introduction
In this video, the professor, Dr. Xiao Jin Zen, introduces himself and his background in marine and coastal management. He explains that his passion for the ocean led him to pursue his bachelor’s degree in oceanography and engage in various water activities. Realizing that scientific research alone was not enough to address marine problems, he obtained his master’s degree in chemical oceanography and later pursued a Ph.D. in marine and coastal management. He shares his experiences studying in different universities around the world, including Spain, Belgium, and Portugal. Dr. Zen currently holds positions as an assistant professor and research fellow, focusing on marine sustainability and knowledge-to-action frameworks.
