Cases study of integrated tourism

Video: Cases study of integrated tourism
Now we we are gonging to talk about the few cases study of integrated tourism.
So we’re going to show you three different examples of integrated tourism. The first case is the case of provincial tourism, taking Hainan province as an example. The second case is the case of city regional tourism, taking Suzhou city as an example. The third case is the case of county regional tourism, using Anji county as a example. Hainan is the first province in China to establish integrated tourism in the whole province. At the beginning of 2016, Hainan became the first demonstration province of integrated tourism.
In the past two years, Hainan integrated point, meaning attractions, line, meaning tourist routes, whole region, meaning the whole hainan province, promoted the construction of demonstration province of integrated tourism. The whole island was planned and constructed as a large scenic area. As a result in 2017, Hainan received 67.5 million visitors, and achieved a total tourism revenue of 81.1 billion RMB.
Hainan province has successfully established the first regional tourism demonstration province in China, mainly due to the following three successful experiences. First is the demonstration and promotion. Creating integrated tourism demonstration province is the realization path way for promoting the implementation of Hainan International Tourism Island.
Second is the planning and leading position. Tourism planning is combined with the scope of multiple plans. Tourism planning is seamlessly integrated with contents of plans, such as land, urban construction, forestry, ecology and sea use, leaving space and channels for tourism development.
Combination of point, line and the whole region, what do we mean by that? it means that the attractions and tourist routings and the whole region development are combined holistically. Hainan Province is built as a large scenic spot. Now let’s look at the second case study which is at city level. So we use Suzhou city as an example to illustrate this integrated tourism. The tourist administration of Suzhou city has vigorously implemented development strategy of integrated tourism, improved the new mechanism of tourism development and enriched the new supply and tourism products Suzhou has also passed provincial examination and assessment of establishing the national tourism demonstration zone, and been approved as the integrated tourism talents training base.
The concept of city is tourism and tourism is life was also put forward. As a result in 2017, the whole tourism revenue reached 233.2 billion yuan, and the number of domestic tourists reached 12.9 million.
So as a result of case study of City Regional Tourism, Suzhou city has created the concept of city is tourism and tourism is life. And this was put forward to the whole city. The mechanism and construction of integrated tourism platform was improved and the overall coordination capability were enhanced. The new types of business and products of tourism were enriched and supply capacity was improved. And thirdly, Suzhou government built a tourism service system for individual tourists, so that tourists’ urgent needs can be better met. Fourthly, Suzhou government actively innovated domestic and foreign marketing method and increased influence of Suzhou city tourism.
Suzhou government strengthened regional linkage and accelerated the establishment of a comprehensive supervision mechanism for the tourism market as a whole.
Now let’s look the third case study which is the case of county regional tourism, using Anji county as an example. Anji is a county in Huzhou city, Zhejiang province. The county covers an area of about 1886 square kilometers. In 2008, Anji firstly put forward the county scenic area, the coverage rate of rural village construction reached one hundred percent.
More and more domestic and foreign well-known capacities entered into Anji, such as Marriott, Banyan tree, Lira, etc.
In 2017, the number of tourists reached 223.8 million and the total tourism revenue reached 28.3 billion yuan. The coverage of tourism infrastructure was expanded in Anji. The Anji county promoted the coverage of tourism infrastructure. Anji county strengthened the toilet revolution system and formed a system of tourism public service including three levels, such as county, township and village. A unique development mechanism was developed. Anji county was the first one in China to set up a tourism commission at the county level to monitor the overall development of integrated tourism.
