Please take some time to read this article, An Approach for All in Pharmacy Informatics Education, published in the American Journal of Pharmacy Education in 2017.

The article briefly explained the definition of pharmacy informatics and what pharmacy informatics topics should be provided in formal pharmacy education. It introduced two approaches to informatics education in pharmacy. One is to incorporate fundamental informatics education into pharmacy curricula for all students. The other is to train those students interested in becoming informatics experts to design, develop, implement, and evaluate HIT.

This article also mentioned informatics education initiatives within and outside of pharmacy. Please read through the second section of it. It is not only for pharmacists but also for other healthcare workers. In the modern tech world, as a healthcare providers, we all need some ability to utilize technologies to prove the quality of healthcare.
