Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

What is cognitive behavioral therapy?

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can change an individual’s emotional state and behavior patterns. It is most suitable for the elderly with mild cognitive impairment who have good language skills.

Conversely, CBT is not appropriate for individuals with severe memory problems, those who cannot concentrate, individuals with major depression or dementia, those with suicidal thoughts, or those with substance abuse issues related to drugs or alcohol.
