Reminiscence Therapy and life review method

What is life review therapy?

Life review therapy helps the elderly establish a new sense of self by recalling their life experiences. The themes of the review can include significant stages or turning points in their lives, and can be guided by educational experiences, music, and other avenues for reminiscence.

When conducting life review therapy, it is important to carefully assess the suitability for the older adult to avoid negative outcomes. In the final stage, an evaluation will be conducted to help the older adult draw conclusions about their life, followed by a post-assessment evaluation.
