Food texture classification (3)

Taiwan’s food texture classification is Silver Friendly Food (Eatender) and Taiwan’s Food Texture Preparation Guidelines.

Eatender’s grading standards are four: easy to chew, gum chewing, tongue crushing, and no need to chew. The definition is similar to Japan’s and is based on the actual eating situation faced by the elderly. Another grading standard in Taiwan is Referring to the Taiwan Food Texture Preparation Guidelines formulated by IDDSI, a video is used to teach the elderly how to use chopsticks and other tools to determine the texture of food.
