In this activity, you explored the diverse and exciting application areas of robotics that are shaping our modern world. Industrial robotics emerged as a cornerstone, revolutionising manufacturing processes across industries. From automotive assembly lines to electronics production, industrial robots continue to play a pivotal role in streamlining operations.

Moving beyond the factory floor, the course then shifted its focus to logistics and e-commerce, highlighting the role of robots in warehouses and fulfilment centres. The course discussed how robots are optimising the storage and retrieval of goods, ensuring rapid and accurate order fulfilment in the booming e-commerce industry.

Autonomous vehicles also emerged as a game-changing application area, with discussions on self-driving cars, trucks, and delivery drones, exploring their potential to transform transportation and logistics further.

Moreover, we explored the world of medical and healthcare robotics, where robots are assisting surgeons and aiding in rehabilitation. Finally, the course addressed domestic robotics, unveiling how robots are gradually becoming our companions and helpers in everyday life, like vacuuming our floors.

Next you will visit some challenges and emerging opportunities of robotics, before the course closes with career tips and an overview of the skills you need to build.

How is the course going?
