Language points

“几 jǐ ”is usually used when the answer is less than 10.

If it’s more than 10, we usually use“多少 duōshǎo ”。

The measure word following 多少 duōshǎo can be omitted, you can either ask 你会写多少个汉字? or 你会写多少汉字?

学校有多少个学生?or 学校有多少学生?

But for 几, the measure word after it is necessary, you shouldn’t say 你家有几人?你想买几杯子?
