Welcome to Week 2.

After looking at critical thinking in Week 1, we move now to an Introduction to Legal Concepts and Skills.

If you choose to pursue a degree in law, our first two weeks will help to prepare you for university studies.

The law is an important topic and it has an enormous impact on your everyday life. This week, you will explore why this is the case.

You will have the opportunity to think critically about the many ways in which the law has an impact on your daily life.

You will learn about the difference between legal, moral and social duties, and discuss ways in which different types of duty overlap.

Finally, you will consider a legal case that raised moral issues and decide whether you agree with the court’s decision.

I hope that you enjoy exploring these important topics and I look forward to discussing them with you!
