The term “3D” is used by a variety of industries for a variety of reasons. In the screen content industries the term can refer to technologies on both sides of production.

Most often the term is used to communicate the idea that the technology or experience is enhanced in some way.

So how does this relate to screen media and what do we, and don’t we mean by the term “3D” in a production context.
