I have around 20 years of teaching drawing in Further and Higher Education. It may sound simple although, through this experience, I have found that a stumbling block to students progressing smoothly with their drawing practice, is the ability to accurately and confidently draw a freehand straight line.

This step of the course will therefore provide some practical guidance with regard to how to use the pencil, your arm, elbow, wrist and hand, along with eye-to-hand coordination, to enable you to gain confidence with drawing a freehand straight line.
