Course aim

The main purpose of this course is to provide and explain the basic concepts and tools useful for planning and execution of maintenance tasks, while using simple illustrative examples from consumer items, industrial plants and infrastructure.

The course presents and explains the basics and fundamentals of maintenance discipline, by raising and answering a few basic questions such as “What is maintenance and why do we need it, when shall we start thinking about maintenance, who should do the maintenance, where should it be performed and how should it be executed?”
