Make your own

Create your own creative writing exercise.
Using the ideas discussed, as well as everything you’ve learned throughout the three weeks, you could now begin to come up with your own Creative Writing exercise. If often helps to think of this process as like guiding someone back down a path from an end destination. So think about what your end-product or outcome is. Is it a piece of descriptive prose about the weather? Is it a short poem? Is it a conversation between two characters. Once you’ve got that in mind, you have to walk backwards, thinking about all the steps the participants might need in order to get there. Perhaps it might help to think of it as ingredients in a recipe- what do the participants need to add in order to get them to that final piece of writing? Think about each small step, and then write them down in order. Have a go at doing it yourself, as though you were the participant, in order to check that you haven’t missed anything vital out! Once you’re happy with it, post it into the discussion forum below!
