SPEAKER 1: In the course of this week, you should be able to learn about the latest antimicrobial resistance trends reported through the WHO Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System, also known as GLASS. And you should be able to understand diagnostics that can be used for surveillance to monitor resistant trends in hospital and community settings, and also diagnostics that can be used in clinical management to reduce inappropriate use of antimicrobials.
