Now we are going to use seventh scales to improvise on. Thinking of scales as being related to our Ionian scale, for a seventh scale you just flatten the seventh. In the case of F7 the scale is. In the case of C7. In the case of B flat7. Again we use typically jazz quavers and triplets mostly. We keep our chords in the lower position and we will run up and down the scales pretty much starting and stopping anywhere, like this.
