In Step 4.10 we talked about letting things go, and part of that is being able to ‘control’ or manage our motivational state. Sometimes it’s almost tempting to stay in a state of Survival or Impossibility, and we make excuses to ourselves about the external events which ‘caused’ our motivational state. But the mind is a powerful thing, and learning to manage how we are feeling and our outlook at any point in time can be influenced.
