A great accessibility feature of the edge browser is Read Aloud. Read Aloud can improve the accessibility of web pages.

Read Aloud is a simple, but powerful tool that reads the text of a web page out loud.

In this video, we’ll look at a great accessibility feature of the edge browser called Read Aloud. Read Aloud can improve the accessibility of web pages and also help pupils improve their reading speed. It can also improve your productivity by reading aloud your articles while you continue with other tasks.

Putting it into Practice

To begin, select Read Aloud from the Immersive Reader toolbar. A ribbon toolbar appears at the top of the page after you start Read Aloud.

The toolbar includes the Play button, buttons to skip to the next or previous paragraph, and a button to adjust your Voice options. Voice options allow you to select  from  different  Microsoft voices as well as change the speed of the reader.

To stop listening, select the Pause button or the X to close Read aloud.
