A gorgeous (and recently prize-winning) sand animation by Shelly Xie. Schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease that rivals malaria in prevalence and socioeconomic impact in the tropical countries. Created for the Senior Reflection program at Stanford, this project attempts to shine light on the struggle of those who constantly battle with schistosomiasis with the goals of expanding public knowledge of the disease and encouraging people to take action toward eliminating schistosomiasis.
