Introduction to the course

This article provides an overview of the Risk Assessment and Management course.

This is an additional video, hosted on YouTube.

The Risk Assessment and Management course is part of a two-part series of courses, which starts with the Occupational Safety and Health Hazards course and is followed with this course.

If you have not already completed the Occupational Safety and Health Hazards, it is advised that you complete the course to get a better understanding of what is discussed in this course. In that course, we have discussed the five groups of hazards, i.e., physical, ergonomic, psychosocial, chemical and biological.

The Risk Assessment and Management course is divided into two weeks.

In the first week, we will introduce how to conduct risk assessments at work and provide a template and examples of risk assessments. The following week, we will discuss risk mitigation and management.

At the end of the course, you will have a basic understanding of conducting workplace risk assessments and be able to propose risk control measures for workplace safety and health hazards.
