Welcome to the Sharing Economy. This is one of three courses that is part of RMIT University’s Business Futures Program.
This course introduces you to the concept of the sharing economy, and how this 21st century phenomenon has altered the ‘traditional’ purchasing experience.
In this course, we will try to understand what the Sharing Economy entails, how it became a global marketing trend and what its growth means for new and existing businesses as well as consumer choice.
Together, we will journey through various aspects of the sharing economy, including; its evolution, various developments in the market, its challenges and opportunities, strategic implications, and how the sharing economy has impacted consumers’ behavioural patterns.Recommended reading
