Mentorship Explained

AllBright. Sisterhood Works. Mentorship explained. Watch Lauren Maillian explains the difference between sponsorship and mentorship.

A mentoring relationship can make you feel like you have wings, so you can fly. A mentoring relationship is someone who pumps you up – someone who can see your road map, your career path, your professional pursuits and abilities often further than you can see them for yourself. Mentors pick us up when we’re down. Mentors help us lead the way. Mentors can show us that there’s a way, even when we don’t think it’s possible. They’re our cheerleaders. They can be our confidants. And hopefully, you have a mentor who keeps it straight and tells you the truth.

Listen to Lauren as she discusses all aspects of mentoring, from what you can expect and what it is not, so you can get clear on your role as one or what to look out for if you want one.
