Connect And Circle Back

AllBright. Sisterhood Works. Everyday you. Watch Lauren Maillian, invite you into a new daily habit, ‘connect and circle back’.

Every day, Lauren invites you to message or email at least one person who you have not connected with in six months or more. Check in on them. See what they’re doing. Let them know what you’re up to. And keep the connection fresh.

Checking in on your network more frequently, especially if you haven’t been in touch in six months or more, is a great way to let people know that your relationship is still important to you, that you are still thinking of them, and that you hope that they’re still thinking of you too. You never know when you’ll need your network or when your network might need you as well, and so keeping them up to date on what you’re working on, especially if you’re super driven and ambitious and have lots of ideas and areas of expertise, will be helpful. That way, people will know when they can be a resource to you and you’re better up to date on how you can be a resource to them.
