KOICA noticed that private sectors including big corporates and social enterprises, are becoming active in international development cooperation.

So it began to seek collaboration opportunities with private sector more than ever. Recently, KOICA went through a restructuring which led to forming a division responsible for collaboration with private sector partners while it keeps another division that has been working with CSOs for more than 20 years.

The following programs are the new division’s major programs that showcase how innovation facilitates not only international development and private sector’s engagement and contribution.

Case 1. KOICA’s IBS

Overview of the IBS Program

  • Introduction: The IBS program by KOICA is designed to address social and economic challenges in developing countries through public-private partnerships.
