What makes a great PhD supervisor?

So, what makes a great supervisor? What are the qualities, the behaviour, and the characteristics that you see expressed in a great supervisor? Which skills are needed to help the PhD student travel from mountain hut to mountain hut, become a researcher and succeed in producing a successful thesis? In this video you will hear a variety of answers from supervisors and PhD students at the University of Groningen.
